No. Some people come with a clear goal, while others simply know that something isn't quite working or needs to change.
Part of the coaching process can be untangling what's on your mind and working out what feels most useful to explore.

It depends on what you'd like to work on. Most private clients work with me for around 4–8 sessions, although some find a smaller number is enough.
We'll review as we go and decide together what feels useful.

Yes. What you share in our coaching sessions is confidential, except in the rare circumstances where I have a legal or ethical obligation to disclose information.
For organisation-funded coaching, the content of individual sessions also remains confidential. We may agree a broad focus for the coaching with your organisation, but I won't share the content of our conversations.

Coaching generally focuses on the present and future, helping you develop greater awareness, explore choices and make changes that matter to you.
Therapy or counselling can provide support with emotional distress, mental health difficulties or experiences from the past. Coaching isn't a substitute for therapeutic support where that's what's needed.

It's a free, informal conversation of around 45 minutes where we can talk about what's brought you to coaching, what you might like to get from it and whether working together feels like a good fit.
There's no obligation to continue afterwards.

Not extensively. It can be helpful to think about what you'd like to explore, but you don't need to arrive with an agenda.
Try to join from somewhere private where you won't be interrupted. If you can, leaving a little space afterwards to reflect can also be useful.
